We received a call from Brian Yania looking for new faces for his pole sign and illuminated lettering on his corrugated steel building in South Akron to reach the 10,000+ cars that pass his building everyday and brand his property. We met and discussed his needs and took photos. Within a week we produced designs and a proposal for his review.
The Hybrid Heating & Cooling logo has multiple gradation and shade changes. It has small stars off to the right side and it has a blue background on the bottom, which is a difficult color to push light through. It was important to over populate the letters with LED lights to create enough light to shine through these colors. It was also imperative to make sure the digital printing had enough color saturation so that light would not wash out the color. We produced sample prints for Brian’s approval to make sure the color worked. The gradation was not right on the first set but we got it right on the second test print. We made sure there was a protective overlaminate over the digital printing to extend the life of the print.
A few weeks later the sign was produced and we installed it, much to everyone’s satisfaction.
“We love our sign! Akers did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a sign.” Brian Yania, Owner, Hybrid Heating & Cooling
I’ve known Rick Akers probably for the best part of 20 years. We’ve done several projects with Rick Akers Signs and we’ve found them to be people of integrity and excellence. We’ve also found that not only do we reap the benefit of great signage, but it’s been great with our marketing. It’s been great with results. We have both the church and The Inn at Belden Village and we’ve reaped the benefit of tours as a result of the signs, which in effect brings in money and brings in our income. So it’s a great, great thing. So we appreciate Akers signs. They’ve done great work for us and I recommend them and endorse them completely and totally and believe that you will benefit as well.
